Proprietor, Master of Ceremonies Diego
Martin Antonio Vega de Palma was born in Palma Spain on the island of
Majorca to a successful trader. Often, as a devout Catholic, Diego's
father would host visiting priests, monsigneurs, even cardinals. Though
they rarely spoke openly about the Inquisition, Diego would often eavesdrop
on his father's study late at night when these men of the cloth would
speak more candidly. Diego learned of the atrocities commited by the
Catholic Church and quickly lost faith. When his father learned of this
he disowned his son at the young age of 10 years old and banned Diego
from his estates. Diego and
Raphael spent a few years traveling through Europe, Raphael trained
Diego a bit in the art of rapier combat, and they both learned quite
a bit about local pastimes through Europe. They paid particular attention
to the games of skill and chance available to the public; chess, backgammon,
go, and especially cards. The trio of them started traveling together trying to decide what they are going to do with their lives. They came up with a plan of building an inn in which they could experience the things they love, entertaining and games. With the guidance of the Goode Ship White Star they chose to build in the town of Cadiz, Spain. But there is a secret in store at the Inn of the Crimson Spade... |
