Annabella bat Gideon was born march 23rd 1503 in the Foix, France at the estates of her aunt the duchess Natalya de Foix. She was raised by her father Gideon ben Levi and mother Chana on the Foix estates, but was taught in the aspects of lady hood from her grace. During her lessons Annabella showed particular talent in the visual arts.

Her brother, Raphael ben Gideon, spent much of his life traveling the world seeking adventure. In his travels Raphael would send many letters to his young sister telling tales of his adventures. In the autumn of 1514 he wrote of a young man by the name of Diego Martin Antonio de la Vega. Diego was a performer and artisan. When Annabella saw some of Diego’s works she asked to train under Diego as his apprentice. Though her family did not entirely approve her working she insisted in a fashion that would not be denied.

In 1516 Raphael returned to the estates with Diego in tow, and Annabella began her training. For 4 years they worked in the area of Foix.

In 1520 Diego chose to travel with Raphael to Cadiz, Spain where they were to set up an inn. Annabella, Keen on continuing her studies and enthusiastic about having an adventure for herself. Annabella choose to go against her father’s wishes and stow away on their ship.

Annabella now works at the inn as a Waitress and continues to train as Diego's apprentice.
